Our first glimpse of..a range from hwy 129 Sign of better things to come Quiet little cove of Santeetlah Lake Gaining elevation to the first overlook

To us, paradise: San..thin the Nantahalas. All kinds of color Bright orange The road was literal.. bright yellow hues.

Stephanie enjoys the..om this picnic area. Golden forest You should really see this in person. Love this tree

Same tree, wider view Can you tell I loved this spot? One last shot to get some red tones I wonder why it's called fall?

What a beautiful drive! Looking north into t..ntains National Park This red really stood out. Rugged terrain surrounds us.

Dark ominous ridgeline The view from the of..ear Robbinsville, NC The prettiest view yet Love orange on trees..llege football teams

Very red The clouds were a sign of things to come. Rocky colorful hillside Had to put this here..ellow jacket larvae!

Glimpse of the skywa..t climbs ever higher We literally went th..Sunny and warm here. Looking ahead of us,..out what that means. A nice quiet pathway

The allusive peach color Our views are gone f..old above 5000 feet. The trail up Hooper Bald Very windy but Brad'.. having a good time.

We are crossing the state line. Still thawing from t..clearer views again. Bright colors abound.. leaves had dropped. It doesn't get much better to me.

Couldn't decide whic..r, so I posted both. Mountains, deep fore..everywhere you look. Mixed colors in the valley below This view struck a chord for some reason.

Our eyes almost got ..er volume of colors. I think almost every..e of autumn is here. In stark contrast to..or a wide open view. Crude panorama from ..a of the broad view.

This little lake was..lete surprise to us. The view leaving this overlook Same as before but w..ving a picnic there? Remember that little..Boundary campground.
